She started playing tennis at the age of 4 with the guidance of her father. At the age of 10, she started practicing in Prague. At the age of 15, she moved to Prague all by herself to train.
She has a tattoo situated above her right elbow that reads, “No rain, no flowers”.
Vondroušová made her WTA-Tour main-draw debut in doubles at the 2015 Sparta Prague Open with her doubles partner Kateřina Vaňková. They lost the first round to Kateryna Bondarenko and Eva Hrdinová.
Vondroušová made her WTA debut in singles at the 2016 J&T Banka Prague Open during which she defeated Océane Dodin before her second-round loss to eventual tournament runner-up Samantha Stosur. She then played at the Roland Garros junior event but lost in the 3rd round to Olesya Pervushina. After 2 consecutive losses, she went on a hiatus for the rest of the year to recover from an elbow injury.
